School of Ballet Cambodia
After a 25 year career as an International dancer, teacher, choreographer, and Artistic Director, American ballerina Amanda Miller has opened the School of Ballet Cambodia(Sala Robam BaLe Kampuchea) and is bringing her Balanchine style training to Cambodia for the first time. The new school's mission is to provide ACCESS to the highest quality, pre-professional level ballet training in the region to ANY and ALL persons interested in studying the form. We believe in the value of dance training to provide persons with life skills necessary to succeed in whatever professional track they follow. No dancer will ever be turned away based on body-type, diverse-abilities, or their ability to pay.
We are excited to announce our new studios located in Phnom Penh's historic Daun Penh District. Through our new partnership with Friends International and Mith Samlanh, our Club Friends Studio is located within the creative hub of Futures Factory. This space serves a vital and dual purpose -- allowing our students the opportunity to train on a large stage throughout the year, and of being the home of our developing Dance Empowerment Program for Youth. A few blocks away, Our Sisowath Studio and offices are housed in a corner building at 239 Sisowath Quay, looking out over the iconic junction of the Tonle Sap, Tonle Bassac, and Mekong Rivers.
We look forward to welcoming students and families into our new space, and to building an inclusive community through our shared love of dance. We will be sharing more as the process unfolds.
